Location
La Ciotat is a charming seaside resort on the Cτte d`Azur, between beaches and rocky inlets, in a bay, backed by the Bec de l`Aigle and Cape Canaille, facing the sea. La Ciotat benefits from an exceptional natural surrounding: the highest cliffs in Europe, beautiful long sandy beaches, the rocky inlets of Mugel and Figuerolles, Ile Ver, to mention a few. To the west, the resort boasts pretty rocky inlets and the highest maritime rock face in Europe. To the east, the Golfe d`Amour offers many sandy beaches and a marina. There are also a host of restaurants on offer.
La Ciotat will charm you with its picturesque fishing harbour, its pretty 17th century houses circling the harbour, and its Mediterranean atmosphere. Take a drive along the magnificent Route des Crκtes where you will enjoy exceptional views over the bay.
