Location
La Garde Freinet is situated at the foothill of the Maures massif, linking the Luc plaines to the gulf of St Tropez.
This old Provencal village has successfully preserved its authentic character. Access the village via picturesque roads, winding through a wild and wonderfully natural landscape, forests with various species of trees and typically Mediterranean cultivated grounds.
Environment : Surrounded by forest of oaks and chestnut trees, contrasting with sandy beaches just 15 km away. Golf in Beauvallon at 18 km.

Port Grimaud. 15 km. Charming Venetian-style and traffic-free village with pretty waterways and numerous moorings for sophisticated yachts.
Gassin. 20 km. Beautiful hilltop village with a maze of winding streets and ancient houses, overlooking vineyards, woods and the gulf of St Tropez.
St Tropez. 20 km. Authentic fishing village but also trendy and glamorous seaside resort and favourite holiday spot for the rich and famous. Fantastic night life, exquisite restaurants, chic boutiques, delightful old quarters, glorious beaches including the famous 5 km-long Plage de Pampelonne.
Ste Maxime. 20 km. Fashionable and elegant seaside resort with old cobbled streets, designer boutiques, excellent restaurants, colourful port and a choice of beautiful sandy beaches. Boats across the bay to St Tropez.

Le Village des Tortues, Gonfaron. 20 km. Animal park. A natural park where over 2500 tortoises are housed and protected. Follow the shady trail over various bridges and discover the tortoise hospital and a breeding area. A journey in time will help you discover now extinct tortoises and the time of dinosaurs.
Aqualand, Ste Maxime. 25 km. Waterpark. The latest Aqualand park: a superb waterpark in lush vegetation. 4 hectares of water games, a total of 11 water attractions: a wave pool, 8 waterslides, etc. A lot of fun for the whole family and all abilities.
Golf de Ste Maxime, Ste Maxime. 25 km. Golf course. 18 holes Par 72 - 6130m. Facing the gulf of St Tropez in undulating countryside and with several greens overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Ste Maxime golf course is a spectacular and technical course.
FURTHER AFIELD:
Ramatuelle. 22 km. Idyllic hilltop village with popular street markets. Also famous for its jazz and theatre festivals held in July and August.
Lorgues. 30 km. Small and very pleasant medieval town with a maze of old streets, open squares and fountains, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees.
Frιjus. 45 km. Seaside resort, ancient military port and Roman city, with a rich and impressive historical and architectural heritage. Some stunning scattered Roman remains can still be seen including one of the largest amphitheatres from Gallic times and a Roman theatre still in use for summer events.
Hyθres. 55 km. Attractive seaside resort with walled and medieval centre, once the favourite summer resort of celebrities, some of the intellectual elite and the rich. The town and its peninsula have almost 40 km of pristine sand beaches and rocky inlets to offer.
