The village of St Saturnin les Avignon is a pleasant and peaceful Provencal village situated within easy reach of the beautiful city of Avignon (12 km). Tucked away from the crowds of tourists, St Saturnin offers typical cafe terraces, flower-laden streets and an overall charming village centre.
Environment : Country setting, 200m from the village with shops.

PLACES TO VISIT:
Avignon. 12 km. City of history and city of theatre, the fortified city of Avignon marked by papal history will charm you with its ancient streets, spectacular monuments and museums and impressive number of cafes and restaurants. Its famous bridge still stands over the Rhone river.
Pernes-les-Fontaines. 12 km. Lovely medieval town boasting no less than 40 ancient fountains!
L’Isle sur la Sorgue. 15 km. Attractive market town with picturesque waterways and renowned for its antique markets. Not to be missed!
Chateauneuf du Pape. 15 km. Medieval village built on the side of a hill, overlooked by the ruins of its ancient chateau and surrounded by its world famous vineyards.

FURTHER AFIELD:
Carpentras. 20 km. A real treat to all lovers of history and architecture thanks to its wealth of history and also famous for its Friday morning colourful market which attracts people from all over the region.
St Rιmy de Provence. 30 km. As picturesque and Provencal as can be, with narrow winding streets, shady squares, fantastically old fountains, elegant shops, art galleries and plenty of bars and restaurants. The village and surrounding countryside has inspired many artists including Van Gogh who produced more than 150 paintings of the area. Also birthplace of Nostradamus.
Mιnerbes. 35 km. Superb little village with well preserved heritage, built on a hill, and surrounded by magnificent countryside.
Les Baux de Provence. 40 km. Most beautiful Provencal hill top and fortified village, in the heart of the Alpilles with brilliant view of Arles, the Camargue and the Alpilles. Officially classified and labelled as `one of the most beautiful villages in France`, it is one of the “must sees” in Provence.
