Boat trips on the river available as well as a small river beach. Duras. 20 km. Small and pleasant market town with attractive Chateau which can be visited. Also famous for its wines. Monsιgur. 20 km. Bastide town on the Dropt river founded by the English, with 13th century church and lovely half timbered houses. A walk around its original walls will offer attractive views across the Dropt valley and surrounding countryside. St Emilion. 30 km. Delightful village with steep narrow streets lined with beautiful historical buildings and monuments, and surrounded by prestigious vineyards and chateaux producing some of the very finest wines in the world.

Its 16th century castle is a listed historical monument and of course has a cave where you can sample the wines, and plenty of opportunities to purchase some. Eymet. 35 km. Attractive bastide town on the banks of the Dropt river, with a thriving market square and lovely bridge over the river. Lalinde. 60 km. First English bastide, founded in 1267 by Henry III Plantagenet, Lalinde boasts several listed buildings and owes much of its charm to the Dordogne River and canal.
