Made famous by Gauguin when he came to paint in the 1880s before leaving for Tahiti and inspired the Pont Aven school. Carnac. 45 km. Sought-after and lively seaside resort with excellent sandy beaches. Also renowned for its impressive prehistoric standing stones.
